Basic Guidelines

-Your essay has to have 5 paragraphs

-You have to have a thesis in your first paragraph. Your thesis should have 3 themes that explain How Islam Spread so quickly. Your document questions should help you find the themes.

-Your first paragraph will have background information on Islam taken from the background essay of your Spread of Islam DBQ packet. Some things to think about are what is Islam, who was the first to preach it, how did it come about, important rules, practices, places, when was it made.

-Your essay should have at least 2 Points of View, found in the body paragraphs.

-Make sure to cite where you are getting the information from. Citations should look like (Doc. X) You should be able to use ALL of the documents when writing your essay. 

-Paragraphs are 5-7 sentences. If it goes over that is not a problem, just do not go under 5.

-Your documents will provide all of the information you need. Remember to back up your thesis, as your thesis is your argument.
