The Case Study will center on the documentary Waiting For “Superman.”

This week only, you can assess and discuss a child who is not an adolescent. As we read and learn about education systems and schools,  we focus on the multisystemic issues that affect students rights to a free and appropriate education.

Assignment:
Choose one of the five unforgettable children featured in Waiting For “Superman,” a documentary that reveals the heartbreaking obstacles some kids must overcome so they can have what every child deserves: a great education.
In your paper:
1) discuss your selected student’s personal strengths, describe their school experiences, the obstacles they face and how their parents play a role in their education.
2) discuss how this student’s education experience was similar and different than yours when you were in the same grade/same age.
