When deciding on your research topic, be sure to select an aspect of your artwork that is interesting and meaningful. Ask yourself why you selected your artwork in the first place: what stood out as interesting or unusual? What questions did you have when you first started looking at the artwork more closely? What questions were you unable to answer after you studied it? Avoid selecting minor aspects of your artwork or aspects that will be hard to research, such as “the brown color on the right side of the painting.” list of sources used and/or cited. You must use at least three reliable sources. If you are using the internet for research, it is your responsibility to ensure that your sources are reliable. As a rule of thumb, use sources created or hosted by authoritative educational, cultural, or government institutions (in the URL, look for .edu, .org, .gov).
