Written Report (B1) –Instructions (Weightage 30points)

Each student will submit a report that includes:
(1) Qualitative and quantitative data (preferable for 5-7 years)analyzed using Eviews, Excel or other appropriate software, that is used to design a simple growth model to project and formulate expectations of economic activity in the UAE;
(2) Interpreted results generated from the model; and
(3) The impact of economic policy on financial markets.
Suggested sources of information include the following data sets:
• UAE National Accounts;
• UAE Government Accounts;
• UAE Balance of Payments; and
• UAE Monetary Survey.
The report must be 5-7 pages single spaced. The students may use standard fonts such as Times New Roman or Calibri, 12pt.All graphs and tables must be appropriately titled. The sources of information must be referenced in-text and in the list of references using APA style.
The project should be organized as follows:
• Title page- should carry relevant details such as the name, ID of the student, title of the project, date of submission etc.
• Introduction
• Results and discussion (of the model and impact of economic policy on the UAE economy). This part should give detailed analysis of the national accounts data, balance of payments of UAE, and impact of the fiscal policy and monetary policy on economic performance and their interpretation
• Summary and Conclusion- based on the results
• References

The deadline for submission will be 15th February, 2016 (week 5).
