Writing-in-the-Disciplines
Choose a piece of writing from someone in the career field that you want to enter. Post it here for your peers as either a link or scanned attachment of an image or .pdf file. Clearly state the career field you want to enter. Give a summary of the piece (remembering not to plagiarize!!) and tell how you located it.
Using Box 1.2 on page 6 of Building Bridges, create an argument that categorizes the document that you found into one of the sixteen common Writing-in-the-Disciplines Activities given. Then, using Table 1.1 on page 13 of Building Bridges, argue whether it is persuasive, explanatory, imaginative, or expressive. Please note that I am looking for reasons here, not just the categories.
Once you have answered all of the components for this forum, count your words to make sure that you have met the 250-word minimum required length.
