“Wizard of Oz”
FINAL PROJECT
INSTRUCTIONS:
Assignment: Watch the movie “Wizard of Oz”
The children’s novel was written by L. Frank Baum on 1899. In 1902 it became a Broadway musical, then a well-known film in 1939.
The student is to watch the film and analyze it. Your assignment is to analyze and interpret the meaning of the film. For example, the meaning of the characters, items, subjects, colors, etc. that have to do with the time frame of the film.
Get familiarized with what is happening with the country when the “Wizard of Oz” was written.
You are to use the criteria listed below to form your research paper. Make sure that you follow the four criteria listed below; if you fail to do so you will fail the objective of the assignment and will receive a failing grade.
Student is to complete a 5 page research.
DO NOT include title page.
You are to include a bibliography/reference page, however it does not count as part of the 5 page requirement.

Only one reference may be online.
