French revolution
The French revolution was a war that took place in the year 1789 to 1799. The war was attributed by various causes being, cultural factors, social factors, financial instability, political factors, and the economic status. All this factors created a revolutionary atmosphere that accustomed to the beginning of the French revolution. Along with the causes are the events that took place in the French revolution being, meeting of the estates general, fall of the bastille, March on Versailles, The flight to Varennes, dissolution of the national assembly, the war. The attack on the Tuileries palace, the reign of terror, directory, and rise of napoleon and the declaration of the republic and the trial of Louis.
The cultural factor declared the desacralisation of the church and the king’s authority, due to the enlighnment philosophy. This whole cultural factor, led to the promotion of a new society based on reason instead of traditions. The social factor on the other hand was all about the emergence of the third estate which entailed of the commoners who made the issue of political equality be considered, creating the first estate known as the aristocracy, and the second estate. With the economic factor, it was all about the change in the grain market that caused an increase in the bread prices. Due to the bad harvest periods, the food production was minimal, leading to masses revolting. All this factors agitated for a revolutionary atmosphere, making it difficult for King Louis xvi.
