Wind energy between Spain and China/POLICY between Spain and China is IMPORTANT!!We plan to center our research project around the comparison of wind energy between Spain and China. China ranks 1st in the
world in terms of its installed wind energy capacity, while Spain ranks 4th, behind the United States and Germany. We as a
group are interested in evaluating these countries side-by-side in order to understand the roles of the market as well as
policy in influencing the growth of the wind industry in each.
Some of the questions we wish to answer during this research are,
“What factors contribute to the strong presence of wind energy in these countries?”,
“How do Spain and China differ in their wind energy design and infrastructure?”, and
“What, if any, cooperation have these two countries had with each other, at a political or economic level, in regards to wind
energy production.
