INSTRUCTION
The research paper should be 800 to 1000 words in length (5 double-spaced, word-processed pages). This word length will constitute the body of the text. In addition, your paper must include a title page and a reference page. Your research paper, including the title and references pages, is to be written in APA style (6th ed.), using regular 12-point type size, and 1-inch margins all around. Primary and, where applicable, secondary citations within the text are to follow .
Selection of articles: Once you have selected your research question, you will need to select research-based articles to use in writing your research paper. Your paper must include references and in-text citations from 4 primary source articles, in accordance with APA (6th ed.) format standards. You have 4 options regarding source materials for this assignment.
1. All 4 primary sources/articles may be selected from the list of resources provided in the Psychology 290 Research reading room
2. Three of the primary sources/articles may be selected from the Research Reading Room, and the remaining 1 primary source/article may be selected using a literature/database search.
3. Two of the primary sources/articles may be chosen from the Research Reading Room, and the remaining 2 primary sources/articles may be selected using a literature/database search.
– The Introduction and Conclusion should be one paragraph each
– The introduction should be brief—usually no more than three to six sentences. It should state concisely what your research question is and what your paper seeks to examine. It should also explain the approach you intend to take
– The conclusion of your paper, like the introduction, should be brief. It should summarize your ideas and present any conclusions that have emerged from your discussion. Your concluding statements should add strength and credibility to the ideas presented in your introduction.
