Then arrange to have a 15-30 minute discussion with someone outside of our class to discuss Haidt’s ideas, preferably someone who has very different political/philosophical perspectives than your own. Together, arrange a short list of strategies that would help to strengthen the quality of conversations between people of significantly different philosophical and political leanings.
