Final Research paper
This week you will select your topic: (Volkswagen emissions scandal) for your paper and develop

your thesis for the final research term paper. You are to pick a recent legal and/or business

scandal (Volkswagen emissions scandal) and develop a legal and ethical analysis covering that

topic/scandal. The scandal should have occurred within the last one or two years. You should use

the ethical toolkit (the ethical decision making theories: free market ethics, deontology,

utilitarianism, virtue ethics, and ethic of care) within your analysis, as well as, any applicable

statutes and/or case law which may apply. You are expected to determine what issues exist, conduct

extensive research, and write a comprehensive analysis.
