Write a 2,000 word assignment discussing each of the following:

i) How technological advances have impacted on the pedagogical approach you use.

a. Consider both technological advances in your industry as well as technological advances related to teaching and learning

b. Consider any adjustments that you could make to your teaching and/or assessment practice to reflect these changes

ii) What reflective approaches have you used in considering your responses to (i) and in your own teaching practice?

a. What areas of your own reflective practice could you strengthen? What strategies could you use to do this?

b. Use examples from your practice, and also from the literature, to support your ideas.

I recommend that you reflect on these issues (as outlined in the overview of your task) over a number of weeks in your reflection journal. This journal is your own private writing, and will not be submitted as part of assessment. As you develop a greater understanding of critical reflective practice, make use of this understanding in your reflection journal. This will then serve as a valuable resource when you are writing this assignment.

If you do not presently work as a teacher or trainer, then for the purposes of this assignment imagine the teaching and learning context that you would like to be teaching in.
Rationale
This essay requires you to reflect on how influences, in this instance ongoing technological change as well as learner needs, impact on teaching, learning and assessment practices. Your readings for Module 1, existing knowledge of your industry and student group, as well as reflections on your own practice in the reflection journal will provide resources for the development of your response to this assignment.
