All assignments will come from these books:

John McKay, Understanding World Societies: A History. Second edition. Bedford/St. Martin’s.
Walter Ward, Sources of World Societies. Second edition, Volume 1.

You must cite the sources of your answers. Only the textbook and reader are acceptable sources. NO OUTSIDE SOURCES ARE PERMITTED. Parenthetical notation is best for citations. For the first citation use the author’s name, title of the text book and then the page number. For all subsequent citations of that source you only have to include the author’s last name and page number in parentheses.

Do not copy passages from the text into your exam. Use your own words and cite the source.

1. All exams must be completed in Microsoft Word, New Times Roman, 12 pt. font with one inch margins, double spaced. Pages must be numbered

2. Exams must follow the exact order and formatting of the questions. You must include the questions in your submission as well as the numbers of the exam question
