The Syrian Crisis – what should be done?

• Search for (high quality academic) literature yourself using security + topic terms etc.
• Relate to relevant chapters in the recommended texts (Collins or Smith) or suggested reading and links in the handbook or slides
• Link to theory and topics covered so far as appropriate. These might include:
o Key theories explicit or implicit in the talk
o Level of analysis – state, societal, human etc.
o Key actors – roles & response, and implications for other actors including individuals within a state, other states, international norms & systems etc.
