Topic: READING RESPONSE PAPER

Paper details:

Butts, Janie B., and Karen L. Rich. Nursing Ethics: Across the Curriculum and Into Practice. 4th. ed. chapter1-3,10
Devettere, Raymond J. Practical Decision Making in Health Care Ethics: Cases and Concepts. 3rd. ed. chapter 1-5
Tolstoy, Leo. The Death of Ivan Ilyich and Other Stories.chapter1

Plan:
1.In the reading assigned isolate four significant insights that you consider important, interesting, controversial, or the like. Save the most significant insight for last (i.e., fourth).
2. Since all readings are assigned from more than one source, be sure to choose an
equal amount of insights from each source.
3. Paraphrase (or directly quote) the four significant insights. Clearly delineate each insight by letter or number (e.g., A, B, C, D, or 1, 2, 3,4)
4. Do not blend the learning into one extended essay. When delineating each learning, indicate its source and page number (e.g.,B&R, 10).Expand on each of the first three leanings in (minimally) four sentences, indicating the personal or professional significance of the insight, and why/how you found it relevant/noteworthy.
5.Expand on the fourth insight in (minimally) four full paragraphs. In the first paragraph, expand on the author’s basic insight and its significance for ethical discourse. In the second, third, and fourth paragraphs, relate the significant insight to your personal and/or professional experience. Here you may choose to indicate how this
insight resonates with your nursing major.
