Book Critique
Only Yesterday: An Informal History of the 1920’s written by Frederick Lewis Allen Provides a detailed look into the 1920’s. It describes the social, political, and international, and economic issues of the decade. There had been a lot of changes in the United States during this time. What was it like to live in the US during the 1920’s? Students need to address the social, political, international, and economic aspects of the 1920’s.
Requirements
Students must use citations from the book with proper documentation. When writing the paper students should follow MLA requirements. The paper should be at least four pages in length. The paper should be typed in black ink, Times New Roman, 12 font, and be double spaced. The title of the book must be italicized or underlined wherever found in the paper. It should be written in paragraph style with a five space indentation at the beginning of each paragraph. No spacing between paragraphs. The paper should be written in third person, meaning no use of the pronoun I. Also, there should be no use of contractions. Points will be deducted each time a contraction or the pronoun I appears in the paper. Points will also be deducted if the paper does not comply with the criteria of MLA style, black ink, Times New Roman, 12 font, and double spacing.

The murder clearly admitted that he had a problem, “I was born with the devil in me” (Larsen 109).
If you cite anything other than the book then you need a footnote and bibliography.
