Common Research Report questions
Posted on: Saturday, 12 December 2015 5:08:09 PM EST
Hi everyone,
I have been receiving a few emails with a common group of questions being asked.
I thought that if there are a few of you with the same questions, there are bound to be others pondering similar ones.
The questions:
• When did the survey close?
The survey closed on 22nd November, 2015
• How many students were originally enrolled in the unit?
Initially there were 270 students enrolled in the unit. All of these students were invited to participate in the survey.
However, due to a number of factors (withdrawal from the unit being the primary one) the total student enrolment dropped to 169.
Answering the question posed regarding the response rate for the survey (what is the proportion of students who participated in the survey to the total number of students who were invited to participate?) the number that you need to consider re number of students invited to participate is 270.
I hope these points help you all get started.
I can’t stress enough the importance of working your way slowly through the Research Project module. Sabrina has done an amazing job, recording really entertaining video-casts, making this introduction to research a pleasure to dive into!
Have fun 🙂
Anna
