Topic: Louisiana Pine Snake (Pituophis ruthveni)

Order Description

This is a paper for an Endangered Epecies Management class, and is to describe the Louisiana Pine Snake (Pituophis ruthveni), which may or may not be endangered. This paper should require the right conservation status. This paper is to be separated into three sections: The first section should describe the behavior and social interactions members of the Louisiana Pine Snake Species, also the defense behavior. The next section is to describe the current and past threats of the species as well as its conservation status (endangered, listed, etc..). This will most likely include, but is not limited to, the destruction of the snakes habitat. The third section of this paper is to describe the impacts of listing the species such as social issues and economic issues. An example would be the effect of listing this species on timber operations. The background of this class is from a Natural Resource Management in Forestry and Wildlife. The format of this paper should mimic the format in the Journal of Wildlife Management, not necessarily CBE. There should be in text citations in the same style as the Journal of Wildlife Management. The context of this paper should reflect this profession.
