STATUS REPORT
Below, and attached, please find templates for the status report; one is for a traditional project, option 1, the other is adapted for those of us who are working on a consulting case project, option 2.
You do not have to follow this template precisely. You may a different format if you find it more effective.
This status report should be simple, brief and clear. I believe that 2-3 pages should be sufficient.
Note: submit this assignment here, and also share it with your Classmates in Group File Exchange (not Discussion Board) please.
Project Status Report (Option 1)

(one paragraph, presenting the project goals as you would to invite and encourage constituents and potential constituents)

Constituents (followers, colleagues, allies, stakeholders):
With whom are you working? How, and how frequently? What is your role and relationship with each of your key constituents?
Leadership approaches:
How have you tried to use your knowledge acquired in previous courses, and apply your skill to lead others? What leadership models have you employed, and why did you select them? (How are you using the capstone to increase your awareness, experiment and develop your capability, and achieve something?)
Progress to date:
What are the significant accomplishments to date?
Issues encountered:
What obstacles have you encountered?
What problems surfaced? What problem solving has become necessary?
How have these issues necessitated your leadership? What strategies have you employed?
What modifications and corrections have you made within your Project Plan?
Next steps:
Provide an updated timetable (simple text or graphic) and a more detailed list of action items that will be required between now and the completion of the semester. A second and overlapping timetable may be necessary if your project has a different timetable that is necessary for an organization you are working for. See me for clarification if necessary.
Self assessment:
Include a paragraph to address the following questions.
Examine your own efforts. Are you functioning at your potential? Are you proactive, experimenting with any leadership theory and practice? What do you want to do in the next 2-3 weeks to challenge yourself, embrace risk (wisely), test your leadership capability, and learn through new experience?
Addenda
You may attach a sample of the kinds of communication you are initiating for this project – a memo to your colleagues, a photo, a slide or chart you shared with followers or constituents, etc.
Consulting Case Status Report (Option 2)

Self assessment:
In addition to examining a case and the people within it, you should use the capstone for personal growth as well. Include a paragraph to address the following questions.

What have you done and what do you want to do in the coming weeks to challenge yourself, embrace risk (wisely), test your scholarship and leadership capability, experiment with leadership theory and practice, and learn through this experience?
