Paper details:

Write an analytical paragraph explaining how Wilfred Owen uses imagery to develop his theme in “Dulce et Decorum Est.” To do this, first paraphrase and then determine the connotative meaning of the poem (TYPCASTT). It might also be a good idea to go back to the Writing Unit Lesson to review the different types of imagery.

Again, use direct evidence (quotes) and use them appropriately in integrated sentences. I will return any 14F assignment that is not attempting to use these conventions and ask you for re-writes.
The “6” paper shows passionate reactions positively or negatively to selection (using quotes) and explains insightfully and in depth how these reactions are produced. Explanation shows sophisticated understanding of textual elements, and makes insightful observations about abstract elements (symbolism, theme, irony, etc.) Makes multiple and insightful connections to personal experience and/or to other subjects, other texts, & other people’s experiences.
