• In writing your essay try to develop a clear line of argument in response to the question set. Your essay should come with a brief introduction outlining the argument you are going to take, and some concluding comments summarising your position. It is important to develop an analytical rather than a merely descriptive approach to the topic under review.

• Use relevant evidence and examples to support your arguments.

• Make sure your sources are properly referenced in the text. Quotations should be attributed and ideas used in the text should be referenced in a clear and consistent fashion. Students are advised to use the Harvard system of referencing.
