to craft a statement of your own moral code.
Assignment Description
This is not a research assignment, but rather an informed self-reflection on what you have learned in the course and how you define your own set of ethical beliefs. You may refer to any of the texts or materials we used in this course if they influenced the formation of your moral code.
Please note:
No one is expected to adhere to a moral or ethical code all the time. The idea is that if you act on your moral code 60-70% of the time, you are doing pretty well. So in formulating your ideas, do not worry about whether or not you can stick to a rigid set of actions and/or beliefs. Rather, think about designing a moral code as creating a set of principles that will guide you in your decision-making and help you ask the right questions when you face a difficult issue.
