The phenomenon of sharing economies

It’s supposed to be a cultural artifact essay. so you’ll need to talk about how sharing economies (Uber, Airbnb,…) has shifted both consumers and service providers’ behaviors (culture). please focus mainly on Uber and mention (Airbnb, Zipcar, citibike) and others if you would like. include the trust issue and how technology helped build trust between strangers.

The attached file has some links could be useful, plus ideas I jot down randomly but still could be useful.

Before, our trust was based on the name of the brand. Now, you can rate bad drivers and customers so that they are kicked out. Or you have to take a little more risk in order for a cheaper more convenient experience

Sharing economy solves this: explain sharing economy
Sharing economy started being non-profitable: examples of companies and what they do
