SIX SIGMA DMAIC METHODOLOGY:

D= Define the system, the voice of the customer and their requirements, and the project goals
M= Measure key aspects of the current process and collect relevant data
A= Analyze the data to investigate and verify cause-and-effect relationships. Determine what the relationships are, and attempt to ensure that all factors have been considered. Seek out root cause of the defect under investigation.
I= Improve or optimize the current process based upon data analysis using techniques such as mistake proofing, and the creation of a new process.
C= Control the future state process to ensure that any deviations from the target are corrected before they result in defects with continuous monitor of the process.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Select one of the three pillars of the IHI Triple Aim and identify a business case, cost analysis, or business plan framework applicable to their DNP actual/potential capstone project. Provide an overview of the element of the triple aim and framework with rationale (why and how it applies to the specific project). Utilizing a minimum of three research articles related to this particular framework, explain how this framework pertains to the development of your project proposal by integrating or using an example with your discussion.
