The Hunchback of Notre Dame 1939 Film

I have some questions on the film, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. The 1939 version starring Charles Laughton. There are conflicts in the film which apply to the theme of oppression, and maybe problems of the present. The film was done in 1939 just before the beginning of WWII and the Holocaust had already begun.
