The Gothic Elements in Jane Eyre – Writer’s Choice about the Title

Paper details:
In Jane Eyre novel by Charlotte Bronte (3rd Edition, Norton Critical Edition, Edited by Richard J. Dunn) there are numbers of “Gothic Elements” in the text that associate with the story. So the challenge here in this essay is to choose at least 4 gothic elements to examine. (Please refer to this site: http://www.virtualsalt.com/gothic.htm for ideas and pattern.) You should identify the element and where it occurs in the text and how it impacts your understanding of the novel overall. Keeping in mind that there are numbers of mysteries we have to solve, you can think about the ways that Gothic elements add to the air of mystery or build suspense in the text, for instance. Gothic Element referred from the site given: 1. Setting in a castle. Thornfield is an old state that has 10 workers…….. 2. An atmosphere of mystery and suspense. From chapter 1 to 3 3. what happen in the Red Room……. Supernatural or otherwise inexplicable events. The unexplainable voice that Jane heard in Thornfield. You must type at least 1300 words in length, use quotes from Jane Eyre, examine at least 4 Gothic element in the text, explore the impact that the Gothic elements have on the text, have an intriguing title, be in MLA format including “works cited.” The coverage is from Chapter 1 to 20 only.
