Here is some notes of what I understand from the professor:

For the framing section you talk about the background of the industry and the current challenges that the industry faces nowadays.

In the scanning section you got to look for current trend that indicates the future. You need to find at least one trend for each of the STEEP.
For example, in technology one can say there are new programs that do taxes for individual such as TurboTax…etc. And in politics, that tax laws and standards and changing or shifting…and so on
And then, in the describing section you need to choose two different trends from STEEP (ex. Society and technology) and then start the this section with the graph for the X and Y axis. In our example you can say “tax preparation programs” and wages. And then you need to come up with four scenarios if tax preparation programs becomes more advance or get worse and when wages goes up or down. This should give four scenario.
(please note that the graph should be include and for each quadrant you need to name the scenario).

Moving to visioning, you choose the most possible scenario and talk about it and then use the graph in the visioning and plug the most possible scenario in the middle of the graph and write the direct consequences and the ripples effect of the consequences of that trend or scenario. (please also draw the same graph attached and fill it up)

Planning is where you give the proposal and the planning to what I should do or prepare myself for the industry in which I will start working for when I graduate. This paper should help me to understand the future of my industry and what I need to do in order to prepare myself to face any challenges or new opportunity within my field.
P.S. If you get the STEEP right everything is going to get easier.
