1) Discussing a specific career in psychology that you might be interested in, such as sports psychology, forensic psychology, clinical psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, etc.
2) Learning about the role of a psychologist in your workplace and how you might collaborate with them, such as a physician working with a health psychologist or primary care psychologist in a hospital or private practice setting, a teacher working with a school psychologist assessing for disability in an elementary school setting, or a lawyer working with a forensic psychologist assessing a defendants competency to stand trial in legal setting.
3) Discussing the implications of psychological research for your chosen profession, such as Vygotskys principle of scaffolding for an educator, ways to facilitate job satisfaction as a business manager, or fostering healthy child development as a parent.
