The Chiswell Green Muddy Mucker 2016 sponsorship plan/report.

The Chiswell Green Muddy Mucker 2016 sponsorship plan/report.

You have been hired by the organiser of The Chiswell Green Muddy Mucker 2016 (small scale community charity sports event) event to provide a well- researched sponsorship plan/report.
Devise a sponsorship plan which discusses and recommends the following:
1. Choose a suitable NEW sponsor for the event. This sponsor can also replace the existing sponsor (local and long-term) or maybe involving media partner
2. Define measurable event sponsorship objectives for both the sponsor and the event
3. Identify the ‘fit’ of the event with the sponsoring organisation. Assess the impact of sponsorship on event design and promotion. Approaches to balancing sponsor interests and requirements with those of other stakeholders
4. Advise the event organiser on how the sponsor’s likely expectations will be met (leveraging deal, creating value)
5. Suggest to the event organiser how the role of the sponsor could affect the design and promotion of the event
Each of these sections needs to be supported by an in-depth discussion of theories and event sponsorship literature. Eg, drawing on models and frameworks from the literature, as well as case studies and industry reports, you need to explain to the event organiser why sponsorship objectives are important before proposing your own objectives

It is up to you to choose suitable headings for your assignment. The overall line of argument needs to be logical, but it is up to you how you want to structure it. Keep in mind, you are trying to convince the event organiser, not the sponsor! Think about building a convincing line of argument, backed up with literature. This is NOT a sponsorship proposal, ie you don’t have to include specific bundles/packages for the sponsor to choose from, nor a detailed budget. Your job is to do the background research for the event organiser, based on which he/she can then put together the actual sponsorship proposal.
