The Aeneid Virgil

Paper instructions:
Choose one of the following questions and write 450-500 word well-focused essay that presents a thesis and supporting arguments. Be sure to include citations (but not quotes) from the text to back up your arguments. Cite the Aeneid by page, and the Metamorphoses by book and line range (e.g. Bk I: 113-124).

2) Compare Evander’s description of the Golden Age in Italy (Bk. 8, p. 240) with Ovid’s presentation of the four ages (gold, silver, bronze and iron) in the Metamorphoses. What are the key differences in these two presentations? What values or ideology do you detect animating each description?
