Each year the Director of National Intelligence provides a briefing for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on the threats facing the United States. Please read the Global Threats section (pages 1 to 12) of the “Statement for the Record” presented by Director James Clapper in January 2014. Select one domestic or foreign terrorist threat that you would like to study in-depth.
Using government sources and journal articles, prepare a powerpoint-style briefing of 8 to 12 slides for the class on one foreign or domestic terrorist threat to American interests. Summarize the nature of the threat, the group or groups posing the threat, potential consequences, and counter terrorism strategies for reducing or responding to the threat. Document your sources of information.
Prior to uploading to Dropbox, create a PDF document that will reduce the size. Three steps:
1. Prepare brief in either G Docs or MS Powerpoint.
2. Prior to uploading, format or export into a PDF document
3. Upload the PDF brief to Unit 1 Dropbox
