‘Hussein is a refugee from Syria, studying Engineering at King’s College, London. Most of his family and friends were either killed or tortured by the regime of President Assad. He fled Syria, to escape persecution, in 2012.

He hoped that international pressure would eventually bring down the Assad regime but this not happened. Frustrated with a lack of action by the international community, Hussein travels to Syria via Turkey to fight the security forces of President Assad.’
