Instructions: Read pages 91-145 of the textbook, “Implementing Kolb’s Learning Styles into Online Distance Education” article as well as the “A Task-Centered Instructional Strategy” article.
Objective of the assignment: This assignment will help you design content and activities for an actual course, considering the principles of brain-based teaching.
Description of the assignment:
PART A
a. Breaking into New Market is a topic you would like to teach at the University level.
b. Using your knowledge of learning styles, build a table that identifies an activity you would include in your lesson to address each learning style. Use Table 1. of the “Implementing Kolb’s Learning Styles into Online Distance Education” article as a guide.
PART B
Using the same topic you are interested in teaching do the following:
a. After reading the “A Task-Centered Instructional Strategy” article build a table that identifies the level of knowledge as well as the learning outcomes of one of the lessons you would teach. Include the activities that students will have to complete to reach these learning outcomes. Use Table 1 on page 47 of the article as a guide.
It is necessary to reference the course material in your answer (either as footnotes or endnotes) and in addition, extra credit will be given for using references outside the course material
