Read Case 2 in the Tanglewood Casebook.
Write a 1- to 2-page paper that addresses Questions 1 and 2 at the end of the case. Format the paper according to the Academic Paper Guidelines.
Note: To determine Next Year (projected):
Multiply the percentage from the transaction probability matrix by the current workforce (total) for each position.
For example, 0.43 of store associates will be store associates next year. So (.43)(8,500) = 3655 store associates will be store associates next year.
Once you do that for the entire matrix, add each column to get the year end totals for each position (ignore the shading).
Determine total external hires needed by subtracting year end total for each position from the current workforce for each position.
