Essay #5: Reflection

GOAL:
Speculate, ponder, play with an idea, explore a thought, and/or share an insight. Reflection essays allow us to think about a topic thoroughly and then share our thoughts with others (Bullock et al 214).

TOPIC AREAS: Tradition, Culture, Identity, or Relationship
Choose a topic that will fit into one of the above categories.

ASSIGNMENT:
Write an essay that is a focused exploration of your views or questions. For evidence, include a reference or information from (at least) one general source, one literary reference, and one film reference.

MUST INCLUDE:
o introduction paragraph
o multiple body paragraphs
o conclusion paragraph
o a clear thesis
o one general source, one literary reference, and/or one film reference
o observations from the real world
o clear and thorough support of your position on the topic

LENGTH: 2 – 4 pages (min. 500 words)
FORMAT: Your paper must be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, double-spaced. Your name, course, and section should be on the top left comer of the page; all pages after page one should be numbered.
