Purpose
The aim of this assignment is to help you conduct an organizational change analysis and to produce an organizational change plan.
You are required to study and analyse the case set out below. Read the case carefully and ensure you are totally familiar with the issues confronting this organization. You are to assume the role of a Management Consultant, hired by Jerry Smiles, to analyse and report on:
the current key problems confronting the company,
identify a relevant strategy with recommendations,
conduct an analysis of the changes needed to achieve that strategy,
And recommend a change plan that will enable the company to move forward.
Your assignment is to take the form of a report which you will submit to Jerry Smiles, who, in turn, will be addressing the Board of Directors with your recommendations and the plan.

Introduction
Jerry Smiles had an unshakeable feeling of foreboding when he first walked into Corecompute’s offices and read the mission statement prominently displayed in the lobby. To his mind, it read more like the statement of purpose for a non-profit save-the-world organisation than the mission statement for a competitive business. Perhaps this was a clue to solving the task that he had been given.
In January 2006, Jerry was bought in by the Board of Directors as Chihttp://www.fairpriceessays.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpef Executive Officer to see whether he could turn the company around. Jerry was a former management consultant, who had once run a division for a Fortune 500 company. Jerry had been told by the board that Corecompute’s, financial situation was deteriorating, although the company’s president and principal stockholder, Harry Jones, was apparently unaware of the situation. Harry, who holds 51% of Corecompute’s stock, stepped aside from the CEO position when Jerry arrived. Corecompute had always had positive profits, and its business had grown consistently since the company first commenced operating in 1995. In Harry’s view, given these two positive trends, how could Corecompute’s financial situation be anything other than solid? True, there were some problems with overstaffing
