original learning resource (either a book or a game). Students will produce a written review of the original learning resource (a book or game) that you have produced with reference to theory. You will demonstrate your understanding of pedagogy through the creation of the resource and in outlining how it supports learning in children aged 0-8.

• Describe what is meant by learning and development and discuss the key theories put forward to explain learning and development.
• Understand how stories and games become a way of helping children and adults make sense of experience.
• Discuss the importance of high quality books, poems, stories and games for children.
• Discuss how the context in which learning and development occurs affects what is learnt and what is expected.
• Demonstrate sound academic skills in formative and summative assessments. You going to explain for student to develop and articulate their own pedagogy/philosophy or ethos statement about how children learn and develop.
