Calculate its annual and holding period returns assuming you invested $50,000 in January 2006 and held the shares throughout this period. Alternatively, if you used active management during this period, describe whether you would have held, sold or bought this company’s shares at some critical point and why. Lastly, given the industrial sector of the company and, your desire to be exposed to this sector, would you be better off if you invested in a passive index fund covering this sector for the entire period.
