State terrorism
State terrorism refers to acts of terrorism conducted by a state against a foreign state or people or its own peopleand coercion within and among civilizations
you will explain how contemporary terrorism patterns in two civilizations are best explained, by taking one example of twentieth-/twenty-first-century state terrorism from each of the two civilizations and comparing them. Be sure to address the following questions in your paper:
Use the following questions as guides:
a. What are the differences and similarities between the two incidents? How could these be explained, using a civilizational approach?
b. What are (or were) the inter-civilizational and global effects of such incidents?
c. Why would states within a civilization act in such a manner? Does it support achievement of states’ interests? What about global norms regarding state terrorism? (Answer for both civilizations.)
