Part A:
In this assignment, you will install Oracle 11g to your computer. If you have not done so, use the following instruction.
1) Oracle database express installation guide (2011). 2) Oracle database express getting started guide (2011). 3) Download Oracle SQL developer at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html. Make sure you download the zip file that include the JDK1.6.0_11.

If you have already had Oracle 11g, work through the following tutorial

Document your work with screen shots of your SQL queries and the results of executing the queries. You are encouraged to think about the questions independently, and come up with different solutions to those explained in the tutorial.
Submit a 2-3 page summary of your work which discusses your experience. Put this document and the file containing your screen shots into one zip file, and submit it.
Part A Assignment Expectations
1.Be able to use basic SQL statements for data manipulation.
2.Successfully execute SQLs for the desired outcome.
Part B
This assignment aims at enhancing your skills of using complex SQL statements to solve more realistic business problems. Work through each section in the SQL queries and subqueries tutorial, pay special attention on how to write statements for joins and use operators such as UNION, INTERSECT, and MINUS.
