The students are asked to prepare a short research paper (~900 words) on a specific social security program of a country of their choosing (other than the U.S., e.g. public health insurance in Canada or social security retirement benefits in Chile). Given the relative shortness of the paper, students are asked to provide a short overview over the history, existing program and current reforms and issues of the chosen program in the specific country. The report must be absolutely of the student’s own. Refer to the university policy regarding plagiarism and the penalty as well as the university guideline of “Preventing & Avoiding Plagiarism”. All the references must be quoted in the report as well as in the references at the end of the report.
