Paper instructions:
The basic requirement of this paper is to compare and contrast what any two or more readings assigned for this course had to say about any theme that they have in common. Listed below are some particularly appropriate topics for comparison.
1. Whether they use the term explicitly or not, many studies of organizations have been concerned with the question of whether the structures and behavior of organizations are “rational” are not. What is “rationality,” and to what extent and in what ways do organizations contribute to making human decision making more or less rational? Compare and contrast the answers to these questions that can be found in the work of Weber; March and Simon; Meyer and Rowan; Zilber; and/or Uzzi.
