1. Let’s look at how life is going for Ligua, Mary, and Michael in this week’s readings of chapter 3 (pp. 112-114). Choose one case study scenario and answer all three questions about it.
2. Socioeconomic status (SES) as defined by the American Psychological Association is “the social standing of an individual or group in terms of their income, education, and occupation. An individual’s income, education and occupational status are often closely related.” (Socioeconomic Status Office Fact Sheet Publications) This Web site also lists the impact that low SES has on the lives of various groups in American society as well as what can be done to improve the health and well-being of all.
