This is the instruction:
This is the leadership class!!!
I want you to write about samsung and its organizational structure using Scott’s model (Scott, 2014).
This assignment requires the student to select an institution and describe its organizational structure using Scott’s model (Scott, 2014). This paper should demonstrate your ability to use organizational theory as a framework to describe the form and function of an organization. It may be most useful to select a familiar organization and to then develop your paper around a specific question or questions. The following questions are listed for example purposes only. Has the form and function of the organization changed over time? Is the organization true to its vision and mission? What leadership styles may be most appropriate given the form and function of the organization? Is the organization strategic in its planning?
This project requires a great deal of independent thought and comparative analysis. To earn an “A” the project should be of the highest quality and originality, and should result in a paper of publishable form and quality. Typical papers for this type of project are 2,500 to 4,500 words, but should not exceed 5,000 words. “A” papers will explicitly demonstrate the organization’s structure in light of Scott’s model while answering the question under consideration. Also see the assignments section of this syllabus.
Tips when writing: The introduction should introduce the institution and lay the groundwork for the direction of the paper. Sections should follow a logical order. Section headings should not substitute for transition statements. Transitions are necessary to tie sections together as well as individual paragraphs. The writer should cover the appropriate content in depth without being redundant. Format the title, abstract, references and overall structure of the paper according to Publication Manual of APA (6th edition.). The significance of quotes, when used, must be apparent and cited properly. Avoid overuse of quotes, and when used, make sure that the quotes are representative of the author’s position. The reader must have enough information to locate the quote in the literature or on the web. Conclusions should be supported with succinct and precise points based on a review of the literature and the analysis.
The class presentation: Students will be asked to provide a brief overview of this paper at the end of the semester. Typical presentations of this type are 15 minutes with a single page executive summary in narrative form as a handout.
