Write a ten page paper comparing the roman catholic faith against the apostolic faith this paper should compare all views of both. You should use the Catechism to find the appropriate parts for the RC view on the Holy Spirit,
charism, etc., and then use parallels in the Apostolic (Pentecostal, too?) tradition. Dig deep on this latter.
A couple books to use for this Joseph Chinnici”s _Living Stones_ (1985); and *somewhere* in the Paulist Press there”s an anthology of “American Catholic devotion to the Holy Spirit” (published in late 1980s to mid 1990s, sorry,
I know that”s vague but you should be able to find it. ANYWAY, devotion to the Holy Spirit figured prominently in the mid 1800s among American Catholics, right before the Pentecostal movement got underway. No there”s not a
direct connection there but there are some similar interests, etc.
ALSO, include on this topic would be the tension between Latino Catholics and Latino Pentecostals (many of whom were born Catholic). The standard narrative tends to presume a boring/exciting dichotomy; Catholics are
boring, Pentecostals are exciting. Lazy, but there are reasons for it, I know. I realize this isn”t *exactly* what you had in mind, so figure out how to include it but you needn”t make it the central topic.
