rewrite the story of my shop

It all started back in 2016 when my sister was pregnant with her first baby; A girl named Mia. I helped her organized her gender reveal and eventually her baby shower. A cinderella themed baby shower. So I started working on things to decorate for the occasion, made signs, beautiful pumpkins, centerpieces that eventually gave me the idea of opening my shop.

I was working full time at a telecommunication company for 10 years and tired of the retail hours, working at random hours ; and always having to miss a family birthday or a holiday event was always the down side of working in retail. single with no kids was not that bad but I knew that eventually one day I was going to have my little family and my wish was to work from home to be able to be with my child as much as possible. So thinking of the future.

I created my business and open an etsy shop to start selling from there.  I started selling decorations for baby showers and kids birthdays and saw that I wasnt getting much traffic; so from there I moved to bachelorette/ wedding favors and decorations and I finally saw my business growing. the first year I did almost nothing but that didnt discourage me to stop; on the contrary, I worked harder. 2017 was huge for my business because it grew so much that i barely had any time left between the two jobs. Oh little Mia was no longer a hobbie, it was becoming my main job. In 2018 I went from working full time at the telecommunication company to working part time, only 20 hours a week. Finally in early 2019 I made the decision of leaving. ( 12 years and great benefits).  All to pursue my dream of having my own business, and be the owner of my own time.
