Order Description
Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices
Part A
Wastage both affects the bottom line of any business, as well as having a negative impact on the environment in which we live.
For this task, you are to look at the environmental impact that is occurring in your workplace or training organization. You are to identity and detail:
¬ The environmental impact caused by the workplace/training organization
¬ Ways in which they could improve the environmental impact identified
The report should contain the following information:
¬ Realistic measurements of current resources used (as a whole, and in relation to individual team members)
¬ Details of any environmental hazards
¬ Details of all environmental impact identified
¬ Details of where and how you gathered your information (musr include multiple sources)
¬ Environmental impact of the organizations current purchasing strategies
¬ Consideration for current organizational processes undertaken
Be sure to prepare yourself for your inspection by developing a checklist to follow that is suitable to your working environment. Your checklist must include any relevant environmental regulation that apply to your workplace.
Part B
Now that you have conducted an environmental analysis on your work area/classroom, you are to analyze the data obtained and identify the environmental impact and associated trends. Your are to present your analysis in the form of a written report that includes:
¬ Summaries of evidence obtained
¬ Detailed analysis of environmental impact
¬ Recommendations for improvement activities
¬ Details of any environmental hazards
Following from assessment 1, you are to implement at least 1 of your recommendations made in response to your environmental sustainability review
Preparations
This will require you to:
¬ Discuss and set targets for your improvements (in correlation with your supervisor)
¬ Detail how you will implement your improvements in the form of a basic implementation plan that ( as a minimum) looks at:
¬ Resources required
¬ Tools required
¬ Techniques to be used
¬ Impacts on others
¬ Budgets
¬ Develop or update any relevant procedures/ processes/ policies as required
Implementing
During your implementation you are to:
¬ Disseminate all relevant information to your team
¬ Provide training and support to your team members as appropriate
¬ Supervise your team to identify further areas for improving resources efficiency
¬ Communicate effectively with all persons involved including seeking and considering suggestions from others
¬ Lead by example
¬ Adhere to your budget record the implementation process
¬ Review the implementation by gathering and comparing outcomes against set targets
¬ Provide a written report (after implementation) that evaluates and comments on improvements as process undertaken. This includes providing recommendations for further improvements as required
The following evidences to be submitted:
¬ A copy of your implementation plan
¬ A detailed journal that outlines the processes you undertook, problems you faced, successes you had, etc
