Order DescriptionThis is the reading comprehension task asks you to respond to one of the readings of the semester in a way that demonstrates your ability to articulate an understanding of the issues raised by the text.

– Read the reading carefully, until you understand it
– Produce a detailed, in-depth analysis of the reading that demonstrates your understanding of it:
• as a piece of writing
• in relation to concepts (Global Crime the course)
• in relation to examples (actual global crimes)
• 800 words (not including footnotes)

• Your understanding of the topic being discussed;
• Your ability to identify and tackle the major issues at stake, and relate them to global crime and Global Crime (this is key);
• Your understanding of all the key concepts;
• Your ability to give a cogent, critical analysis;
• The full and consistent development of your argument;
• Sentence and paragraph structure;
• Thoughtful/interesting raising of issues;
• Few/ no errors/ typos;
• Excellent writing style (clear and direct, not literary);
• Acceptable referencing (correct, consistent, complete).
