This should be a two page article summary. It must be a psychological research article in a peer reviewed journal. This should be a complete draft. Answer of the questions. If your draft is strong you may not need to make many revisions for turning in your final draft next week!

You can follow the “summarizing” directions I posted on CANVAS. Your summary should include:

1) State the research question and explain why it is interesting (1-2 sentences).
2) State the hypothesis/hypotheses tested (1-2 sentences).
3) Briefly describe the methods (design, participants, materials, procedure, what was manipulated
[independent variables], what was measured [dependent variables], how data were analyzed
(3-4 sentences).
4) Describe the results. What differences were significant? (3-4 sentences).
5) Explain the key implications of the results. Avoid overstating the importance of the findings (3-4 sentence).
*The results, and the interpretation of the results, should relate directly to the hypothesis.

6) Give a 3-4 sentence critique of the research or article. What could have been done better or what should be done in future studies?

*number 6 is an additional key point to write about not described in the “summarizing” article.
