Project

Choose several photographs from the links at the Library of Congress World War I site or from the National WWI Museum and Memorial site using the query “great depression” or “world war I” as a search term. Your chosen photographs should depict some aspect of the war of the depression era.. Attach copies with your submitted work, so I can see it too and attach it to your project.

Your project should be a thinglink upload. The link for thinglink is ThingLink: Make Your Images Interactive (Links to an external site.). On the course page, I have provided a tutorial of how to use PicMonkey to create a collage of your photographs and Thinglink. I have also provided a link to show an example. Try to answer all the items below within your presentation. You can record the information and upload to your thinglink. Be creative when completing this assignment as well as answering how we read a photograph historically.

DESCRIBE the photograph, trying to include everything you see. If it helps, draw a grid on the image and make sure that you notice things that escaped your first glance.

ANALYZE and CRITICALLY READ the photograph using the criteria above.
